Nominations are open!

We all know a young person who is deeply committed to changing the world. But how many do you know who have already gotten a headstart in their own communities?

Maybe you know a young person who collected and distributed food to those in need at the onset of the Pandemic. Perhaps another who sewed masks for healthcare workers. Do you know a high school student whose poetry absoltuely changed the way you felt about an issue?

Yes, these are all important projects making an impact on our community, but mostly, they are going unrecognized and uncelebrated. YouthServe believes at our core that Youth are the natural arbiters of positive change. They can and should be encouraged to make and be the change they wish to see.

If you know anyone in grades 9-12 who have either completed (individually or as a group) or are near to completing a project in one of our three category areas, please nominate them today!

Category 1: Overall Impact – this can be any kind of project making significant impact in a community.

Category 2: Advocacy and Awareness – youth projects often take the shae of websites or social media campaigns focusing on an issue they care about. An example would be a positive body image campaign or a website for youth to access resources.

Category 3: Creative Service – young people are SO creative and are known to address issues through art, creative writing, performance. Examples would be murals, public plays or spoken word events, dance, or music expressing awareness of an issue at their school or in their communities.

DEADLINE TO NOMINATE IS FEBRUARY 15!
